Pilipinas Merchandise Exchange — PMX is proud to support American Kapwa, a youth and community initiative in Washington that celebrates Filipino American history, culture, and shared identity.

Alongside community partners and culture-centered brands such as Dovi Seattle and others, PMX is honored to stand behind programs that create meaningful spaces for students, families, educators, and community members to learn, connect, and celebrate heritage together.

Although PMX was not physically present on the day of the event, our support is rooted in the same belief that guides our brand: Filipino identity deserves to be seen, carried with pride, and shared across generations.

American Kapwa reflects the heart of kapwa — the Filipino value of shared identity, connection, and community. Through cultural learning, workshops, performances, food, storytelling, and youth-centered engagement, initiatives like this help young people understand where they come from while empowering them to imagine what they can bring into the future.

For Filipino American youth and the broader community, these gatherings are more than cultural events. They are opportunities to feel represented, to build confidence, and to recognize that heritage is not only something we inherit — it is something we continue to live, shape, and pass on.
