Wear Your Story Spotlight: Vince
Born in Batangas, Philippines, Vince was first introduced to Filipino culture through everyday life — family, food, language, faith, humor, and the way people showed up for one another. Culture was not something that needed to be explained. It was simply present: in the respect for elders, the warmth of shared meals, and the quiet ways love was shown through service, sacrifice, and presence.
As the Chief Creative Officer of PMX and a Learning & Development professional, Vince brings together creativity, identity, and human connection. His work is rooted in the belief that representation should feel modern, meaningful, and deeply personal.
PMX was conceptualized from a real hunger for representation and connection. For many Filipinos, especially those living away from the Philippines, there is a longing to see themselves reflected in a way that feels current, thoughtful, and proud — not as novelty or costume, but as something wearable and true.
But PMX is not only for the Filipino diaspora. It also makes space for those who may not be Filipino by blood, but hold a deep and loving connection to the culture, people, and place. Whether through family, friendship, community, travel, or chosen belonging, PMX honors the many ways people connect to Filipino culture with respect.
“For me, PMX is about creating pieces that help people carry their story with confidence — rooted in heritage, shaped by community, and ready for the future.”
At the heart of Vince’s creative work is pakikipagkapwa — the Filipino value of seeing others as connected to oneself. As an L&D professional, this shapes the way he teaches, leads, and creates learning spaces where people feel seen and supported. As a creative, it reminds him that design is not just about style. It is about meaning, memory, and belonging.
For Vince, wearing Filipino-inspired merch is more than putting on a shirt or hoodie. It is carrying identity in a way that feels current and personal. It is visibility. It is pride without needing to over-explain. It is walking into a space and quietly saying, I know where I come from.
Through PMX, Vince continues to create pieces that help people carry their story with confidence — honoring heritage, building connection, and celebrating culture in motion.
